Reagents used in the CDS MD reagent set
were developed by Dr. Harold Crews, former Director of Research
for Coulter Corportation. Dr. Crews and his Staff developed
reagents and controls currently marketed by Beckman Coulter
and are listed on over 30 patents in the field.
In
1998, Dr. Crews and other Coulter executives founded Clinical
Diagnostic Solutions (CDS) with several objectives including
development of hematology reagents for coulter instruments.
Development
objectives for Coulter instrument reagents were to develop
unique, patent pending reagents that solve known problems
with Beckman Coulter reagents and improve instrument performance.
